Dragons release veteran forward early to take up Super League deal: NRL Transfer Centre

The Dragons have released forward Daniel Alvaro from the remainder of his contract to take up a new deal in the UK Super League.

“St George Illawarra front-rower Daniel Alvaro has requested and been granted a release from the remainder of his playing contract to take up an opportunity in the English Super League,” the club confirmed in a statement.

“Alvaro joined the Dragons ahead of the 2021 NRL Telstra Premiership season and played 19 NRL games for the Red V.

“The Dragons thank Daniel for his contribution to St George Illawarra and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”

28-year-old Alvaro scored six tries in 114 games for the Eels, Warriors and Dragons since his debut in 2015.
